Supplied as a set with jacket and trousers. The trousers have an elastic waistband and drawstring. Regular fit. Approved by WKF. Material: 100% polyester. Colour: White. Size guide: Karate kumite competition gi with a normal cut. Budo-Nord's competition sets for "Kumite karate" follow the WKF regulations. The same requirements for a "Kumite Gi" are set by several other traditional karate organisations and have therefore become a kind of standard. The jacket is slightly longer than our "standard gi", and the sleeves are long – all the way down to the hand and sometimes 1-2 cm onto the hand. The trousers are long and reach the ankle or slightly lower. Budo-Nord's kumite gis are made of lighter fabrics designed to give maximum freedom of movement and be as light as possible. Budo-Nord was probably the first to introduce kumite gis in functional microfibre fabric. According to the WKF regulations, an approved gi must be as follows: With the belt tied, the GI jacket must be at least long enough to cover the hips, but must not reach further down than three quarters of the thigh. The karate gi jacket must be tied and must remain tied during the competition. The sleeves must not reach further than the wrist, must not be shorter than halfway down the forearm, and must not be rolled up. The karate trousers must cover at least two thirds of the lower leg and must not reach further down than the ankles. The trouser legs must not be rolled up.
