We are proud to share some big news: Combat Store AS has signed an exclusive dealer agreement with Hayabusa – one of the world's most respected manufacturers of martial arts equipment. Towards the summer and autumn of 2026 we will bring in boxing gloves, training equipment and clothing from the Canadian brand. This is a milestone for us – and a big day for Norwegian martial artists.
Who is Hayabusa?
Hayabusa was founded in 2006 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, with one clear goal: to make the best martial arts equipment in the world. The name Hayabusa means «peregrine falcon» in Japanese – a symbol of precision, speed and strength. In less than two decades the brand has become one of the most sought-after in boxing, MMA, BJJ and martial arts in general.
What sets Hayabusa apart from the crowd is an uncompromising approach to materials and construction. The brand combines Japanese craftsmanship traditions with modern material technology – and the result is equipment used by professional athletes and world champions around the world.
Hayabusa and UFC – a world-class partnership
Hayabusa is the official outfitting partner of UFC BJJ – UFC's own jiu-jitsu event series, announced on 24 June 2025. This means that the athletes at UFC BJJ events compete in Hayabusa gear. The agreement covers jiu-jitsu, not UFC's MMA events.
This partnership is not just a marketing move – it is a quality certification. UFC sets strict requirements for the gear at its events, and Hayabusa delivers it at UFC BJJ. It underlines Hayabusa's position on the mats, in jiu-jitsu and grappling.
Hayabusa and Nogi – built for grappling and BJJ
Hayabusa has established itself as a preferred brand in no-gi grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ). The Nogi range is specially developed for mat-based martial arts – with rashguards, fight shorts and spats designed to withstand intense grappling without giving your opponent anything to grip. When will the products arrive?
The first Hayabusa products will arrive at Combat Store towards the summer of 2026, with further expansion of the range through the autumn. We are starting with boxing gloves and rashguards, and will gradually expand with more training equipment, nogi clothing and accessories.
