Norges Kickboxingforbund (NKBF, the Norwegian Kickboxing Federation) is pleased to announce that its partnership with Combat Store and the Top Ten brand has been renewed. Combat Store will continue as official main sponsor and equipment supplier to the federation and the Norwegian national team – all the way until 2029.
For NKBF, this is about more than a commercial agreement. It is about making sure Norwegian athletes have access to equipment they can trust – in training, at competitions and at international level.
A partnership built on trust
Combat Store has sponsored NKBF since 2019. Through the coronavirus pandemic, cancelled competitions and difficult periods for the sport, they have been there. Not every partner does that – and we appreciate it.
Behind Combat Store is a team with a real passion for martial arts. Managing director Arne Leon Bjørndal and his colleagues know the sport from the inside, and it shows in the way they work.
New WAKO rules from autumn 2026 – Combat Store is ready
From autumn 2026, the new WAKO equipment rules take full effect. All athletes in WAKO-sanctioned competitions must use equipment with the official WAKO label. Equipment without approval will no longer be accepted.
NKBF has worked actively to prepare clubs and athletes for this transition, and it is a big advantage to have a supplier like Combat Store and Top Ten behind us – with a wide range of WAKO-approved equipment available and fast delivery from a warehouse in Eastern Norway.

Rumours are circulating
In connection with the renewal of the agreement, rumours also reached us that Combat Store is going to open a physical store in Eastern Norway before the autumn season. Naturally, we put this to managing director Arne Leon Bjørndal directly.
He smiled slyly, paused for a moment, and replied:
«I have heard those rumours too. Interesting rumours. Very interesting rumours. I actually tried to find out who started them, but got nowhere. As of today, we can neither deny nor confirm anything at all – but I might keep a little space free in the calendar this autumn.»

Ready for a new season
With the agreement in place, WAKO-approved equipment available and fast delivery from Eastern Norway, Norwegian kickboxers are well equipped for the coming season. NKBF is proud of the partnership with Combat Store and Top Ten, and looks forward to continuing to build Norwegian kickboxing at the highest level – together.
