It is really getting close now. In just 4 weeks we head for Thailand again – back to Venum Training Camp, together with Skogn folkehøgskole.
Our collaboration started in 2024, and this year's trip marks the second year in a row that we travel to Venum Training Camp together. After a very good experience the first time, in 2026 we are travelling with more than 30 participants, ready for an intensive, educational and memorable training period in one of the world's most renowned martial arts training environments.
More than just a training camp
For many of the participants this is their first encounter with Thailand – but for everyone it is an encounter with a completely different training culture. At Venum Training Camp it is not just about hard sessions, but about discipline, community, respect and development – both physical and mental.
Participants get daily sessions with professional coaches, a structured programme adapted to their level, insight into international martial arts culture and the chance to train side by side with athletes from all over the world.
New for 2026: MMA on the training schedule
One of the biggest news items this year is that MMA is now part of the training programme. Alongside Muay Thai and a striking focus, participants in 2026 will also train basic MMA techniques, transitions between striking and grappling, and get an introduction to an all-round understanding of fighting.
This makes the stay even more relevant for athletes who want broader skills, whether the goal is competition, further studies or personal development in martial arts.
A collaboration built on trust and quality
The collaboration between Combat Store, Skogn folkehøgskole and Venum Training Camp is built on the experience from 2024 and developed further through the first trip in 2025. It is about shared values: quality, professionalism and a genuine passion for martial arts.
Departure is near
With only four weeks to go, preparations are in full swing. Training gear is being packed, expectations are building, and motivation is higher than ever. We are really looking forward to bringing a new, larger and even more close-knit group back to Thailand for the second year in a row.
